Have you ever tried to make onion rings? As long as you're comfortable with frying on the stovetop, it's surprisingly easy. Here is a great first-timer recipe to try out.
Ingredients
One vidalia onion sliced very thin.
Flour
Sunflower Oil
Sea Salt
Instructions
Mix flour with onion slices in a bowl.
Fill a very hot deep frying pan or wok (bigger is better) with at least 2 inches of sunflower oil.
Drop in a handful of onions at a time and watch them brown fairly quickly. They will sizzle!
Remove from frying pan when they have reached a light brown color. Place on paper towel, sprinkle with sea salt.
Warning: oil becomes VERY hot. Risk of grease fire is elevated. Always practice fire safety when frying on the stovetop.
