When looking for a particularly good fish recipe, I happened to remember something very similar to this from visiting the Long Island souns. Blue Fish certainly can be found there, and using fresh caught ones here certainly makes a difference.
Be warned, however. Bluefish has a high mercury content, so anyone with diet restrictions, or pregnant women should most likely be at least a big wary before eating it. The NRDC recommends three or less servings per month at most for healthy people.
Ingredients
- 1lb bluefish fillet
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 3 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons grated horseradish
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon tobasco sauce
Preheat oven to 450°. Combine the mustard ingredients in a separate bowl. Spread out the fish fillets in a walled baking pan and generously coat the fish with the mustard sauce. Bake for 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
